I recently found out my license was suspendeded.I didn't know this until I got pulled over for a seatbelt violation. After talking to many people to find out what was going on,I found it was due to failure to appear in court. After more digging I found that I was sent a court summons via certified letter and a complete stranger had signed for this therefore I had no knowledge of any court date or anything. But since it was signed for its considered served and my license was suspended for this.Is this even legal or fair? This is very concerning for me considering I've never even had a speeding ticket and now I can't drive to work or the grocery store.Any advice?

You may contact the court that sent the summons and explain you were never served. The judge normally will hear your explanation in court and may set the trial for a new date, and set aside the default. Assuming there is good reason to believe you never knew of the court date.
