Default I think I have been scammed!
I paid a downpayment/holding fee for a spot in a showcase through Model
Search America of over $1500 last summer. The event was scheduled for December of last year. Due to tearing my ACL I couldn't participate in the showcase I was signed up for. Provided them proof of my reconstructive surgery and was told I could reregister for their next showcase but they won't call me back and have no working phone numbers posted. The BBB tried to call them for me and had no luck either. It has been over half a year since the event I enlisted in and I am out a nice chunk of change and have nothing to show for it. It looks like the company has packed up it's bags and will not have any future showcases. What can I do?
