Possible Fraud WHAT DO I DO????
A kid i work with and good friend for that matter confronted me about whether or not I had a bank account. I asked him what for and he replied that he had a friend out of town who needed to get money to him by tomorrow morning but he couldn't drive that far ( 4 hour drive 1 way). He said he needed the money that morning and it was desperately important. He asked if the kid could deposit the money into my account and I withdraw it in the morning. I told him i would except i had class at 8:30 am until 5 pm so i couldn't make it to the bank on time. He asked if he could just use my card that morning to withdraw the money. I agreed and told him i would cancel it as soon as he gave me the card back. He said okay, i handed him my card and we parted ways. The next morning at 8 am i get a pounding at my door, it is him and he tells me that i have to withdraw the money because the atm would only allow 500 dollars withdrawn. I said okay and went to the bank and withdrew the remaining 3700 dollars ( a little high and suspicious i thought.)I looked at my account and everything was fine. The next day my bank account showed a balance of -3441.99 the 4200.15 cents he deposited was shown as being put in a hold account. I called him and he said the lady who deposited the money worked at bank of america and would straiten things out. A full day passed and still no changes in my bank account. He will not answer my phone calls now and the bank nor the police will do anything because i gave him my card I am liable. I know there has to be something illegal going on and a way i can get my money back. What should I do. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against him (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to his behavior... You may also report him to your state attorney general's office.
