Confused 13th month pay and bonuses

I am not celebrating Holiday celebrations like Christmas and New Year because of my religious belief. My co-staff question my receiving of the 13th-month pay. i told them it's not related to Christmas and it's mandated by the law (PD No. 851). It's a legal obligation rather than an expression of the employer's goodness.
