We have a good friend that works in a small office. He does not work 40 hours per week and is salaried. There are times that he puts in extra hours that sometimes exceeds 40 hours. He does not get paid for it. They let him have time off if he needs it to make up for it or they will do him favors or things like that. He has no problem with that but my husband and I wonder if that is legal. One time they purchased something for him that was for personal use.
We were just wondering. |

Can they purchase things for him if he is salaried, because he does not get paid for any overtime.
