Default can the company i work for change my quarterly quota without notifying me?

I work in pest control in alberta canada, our head office is in manitoba canada. My pay structure is based on sales and commissions. I am required to meet a certain quarterly quota in order to qualify for bonus. (Anything over the quota i get paid 22 percent of) This quota was 45000 dollars, which i surpassed. I was expecting a 4000 dollar paycheck, but only received 2700. When i called the head offIce to find out why, i was informed that the previous manager had raised the quota to 65000 dollars per quarter over a month ago (just before he left the company) but our branch in alberta was never notified of this change. Do i have any legal rights to fight for the 1500 dollars or so that i feel i was short paid as i had no notification of this change until my paycheck fell short?

I wish to inform you that you have a right to have bonus based upon sale. Your sales quota can be increased only with your consent and after informing you. The terms of contract provides method of increasing sales for bonus. As you were never communicated with the change of quota therefore the increased sale amount does not apply to you and you deserve bonus. You may send a demand notice and if money is not paid then you can file a suit in small claims court.
