Default Public holiday pay in UK

I am salaried staff and have just found out that all the company employees, with the exception of myself and my three colleagues are paid for working public holidays. We are allowed time in lieu, as are the other staff members.
There is no mention of pay in my contract but surely this is unfair?
We are the only staff members who do not receive pay for these days.
How can we start to change this?
