Bank fees due to late/illegal payment

My job has been paying its workers very late for some time now. (are pay period ended the 15th of march and we didn't get paid until the 3rd of april. When we did get paid he changed the pay period to the 20th of march so it wouldnt seem as late.) We also don't have set pay dates posted and are never told when we will be payed. Now i owe my bank $165 in charges due to over drawing money from my account. (all of these are from the 2nd of april) Is there anyway i can make my employer pay these because of the irregularity and lateness of our pay?

You could consult your nearest Department of Labor office to briefly discuss the issue with them first...you may also want to ask the company to put what is happening in writing and explain to them that you may have attorneys review the situation...try speaking to a higher level of management about the issue; they may override the other managers. If none of these efforts resolves the issue, let us know.
