No Truck Signs (no way to get to our house to park our truck)

We bought a house in a small town with no regulations 3 years ago so that we could park our 18-Wheeler next to our house and now the town has decieded that they are going to post a no truck sign on all the streets so we now have no way to get to our house to park our truck. Is there anything that we can do about this?

You can ask the city to grandfather you in and let just you have the truck--or ask them to pay to allow you to fix the situation one way or another. You could even go to court if need be and you may very well win.

Im not sure what State or Province you live in but in Ontario the sign that has a symbol of a truck with a red circle around the truck symbol and a slash through the truck means NO HEAVY TRUCKS. This does not restrict trucks from making local deliveries, it only means heavy trucks can't use the road as a through route. You may be entitled to driving your truck to your property as a local delivery. You have the right of access to your property and they can't take that away from you. However, the municipality might be able to restrict you from parking your truck on your property by a property standards bylaw. I would check with your local police to provide you with the section of the Act that they feel they could charge you under and if need be see a lawyer.
