Found out that I had a lien on my house (I think)for having a gazebo and was fined.
Had a meeting with the board and they denied my request to keep the gazebo. The Pres. Stated the community would look like the Hoover Houses. Anyway, I received a bill for the condo yearly fees and notice a lien on my house. I wrote a letter stating that they did not notified me of such activity and not through a certified letter. Sent this letter with my annual dues. For three months no response, until now! A new bill including the lien and a new late fee. What rights do I have? The line item only state lien and attorney fee, but no description for the violation. I feel like I'm targeted and harrased. Others in this Sub have majoir violations and see no action (force to remove structure) and are still standing after 5 years. |

If they did not follow procedure then based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior
