Bait and Switch on apartment rental
I LOOKED AT A MODEL APARTMENT AND WHEN I SIGNED THE LEASE AND SAW THE APARTMENT THEY GAVE ME IT HAD MANY PROBLEMS, RANGING FROM DENTED COUNTERS TO PAINT STAINS ON THE FLOOR TO HOLES IN THE WALL AND FLICKERING LIGHTS. I LIVE IN TEXAS AND HAVE NOT MOVED ANY ITEMS INTO THE APT OR CHANGED THE ELECTRICITY AND FEEL I WAS BAITED AND SWITCHED, IS THERE A WAY TO GET OUT OF THE LEASE WITHOUT FEES?

If the apt is not as you agreed you need not take it.
Save all records, notes and pictures etc. in case they try to take you to small claims. |
