Unhappy Real Estate tax liens

Nebraska- I am behind in my real estate taxes for the last few years, someone has purchased the tax in a Certificate of Tax Sale. We received a letter stating that after the expiration of three months from the date of service of notice which I believe is the letter we just received from a lawyers office that this person can apply to the treasurer's office for a deed to our property. My question is if we go the treasurer's office and pay the back taxes can we still loose our house?

Default Re: Real Estate tax liens

You have to pay the holder of the lien--but if he is paid off then you will be fine normally.
