Default Mechanic's lien

Kristin - Colorado
A mechanic' lien has been filed by a subcontractor. The general contractor has been paid and I have the cancelled check. What can be done to get the lien released?

Default Re: Mechanic's lien

Sometimes liens occur when the prime contractor has not paid subcontractors or suppliers. Legally, the homeowner is ultimately responsible for payment - even if they have already paid the prime contractor.
