Mortgage Issue

When I got divorced my ex-husband kept the house in the divorce papers and we each had to pay half the mortgage until it was sold. A year later we signed papers where he would keep the house and take care of the mortgage and would refinance when he could to get my name off. I then filed bankruptcy and put the mortgage in the bankruptcy and was discharged of all debt. About 7 months later, the mortgage company sold the loan to another one and my name was left on. If I have the divorce papers, paper we signed a year later, bankruptcy papers showing discharge and date and then showing the new mortgage date, is there a way to get my name off new mortgage? I would like to purchase a home and since my name is still on the new mortgage and he has decided to walk away from it, my credit is suffering. I called the mortgage company and they said that they can not come after me for the money owed because I was discharged from it in bankruptcy, but they will not take my name off. They want my credit to suffer.

We were divorced in December 2005. Signed addendum August 2006. Bankruptcy February 2007. New mortgage company bought the old mortgage that I was discharged on September 2007.
