Question HELOC

When Igot married, my husband had his house...I am not on the mortgage. He is taking out a home equity line of credit and was told that I have to sign it, too. Why should I have to sign it since I am not on the mortgage? We live in Georgia......

Default Re: HELOC

Many lenders simply don't want an argument later about whether you have rights in the home and whether you approved etc. But others will require that only he sign.
