I own my home on 3 1/2 acres. I have a horse in a pasture in the far back,
along with my tool shed where I work on my bike. I allowed my brother and
his wife to put their camper (which is properly tagged) between my house and the pasture. Electric for the camper comes from my house and there is no water or sewer hookup at the camper. They rent a room at a friends house where they sleep shower and eat and on occasion have stayed at the camper and in my home. I have one very nosey neighbor that is constantly looking over our fence to see what we are doing. He called the city and said we have people LIVING in the camper and now I am being told by the city that I cannot have electric hooked up to the camper and that there can be no food in the refridgerator, clothes in the camper or anything that would indicate that it is being lived in. I had the internet hooked up at the camper so that my brothers wife could look for work everyday. She works parttime. I was also told that my water hose cannot be anywhere near the camper. and that my brother cannot be at the camper on a daily basis. My brother comes over to tend to my horse everyday and he has been very helpful around the house and yard. They say the camper is a seperate residence. This is my property and I should be able to do whatever I want and have whoever I want on my property as long as it is within the law. I feel that I am being harrassed by the city and this neighbor. What are my rights as tax paying citizen? Thank you
