Hi, My question is for the state of Louisiana. I have part ownership in some inherited property of which I own one-eighth of said property. The property is a house in Jefferson Parish Louisiana. There are are other owners 1 niece and 2 nephews. One of the nephews has about 80% ownership and claims he wants to keep the house. The problem is that he won't buy any of the rest of us out. I do not have the funds to fight him on this. We are not talking about a lot of money on my part, less than 10k. The house is old and not in great shape and Katrina did not help. I made him several offers of which I got no reply. My last offer was to ask him to make me an offer. Still no reply. Since I really want to get free of this property. So I decided to to do a 'quitclaim' the problem is I don't have anyone I want to give it to. Can a quitclaim be done without naming a receiver or do I have to name someone? carc |

You do have to have a recipient. You can give it tot he 80% owner perhaps?
