Confused Bad Break Up

About 7 years ago me and my girlfriend (and her children) decided to buy a house. The mortgage is primarily under my name because she did not have credit established... she was from a different country and in retrospect I am not even sure if she was legal in this country. Her name is on the mortgage because her income supplemented mine in order to be approved for a higher loan. I lived there for about a year before we broke up and have been moved out since. She has paid the mortgage, though I don't believe always timely since. I do have some personal belongings still in the house including a car. She is now threatening to sell and or remove my belongings including the car. Can she do this? Can I have her removed from the house since it is under my name? She will not sell the house. Can I make her sell it? If it's sold how is it determined how much money she gets? I do not have the money to get a lawyer.
