Default Mortgage

I secured a loan from my parents years ago when buying my house. They are registered on the deed. The loan was satisfied years ago. However, my father passed a few years back. Now I need to have them removed. Can my mother sign for my father on the mortgage satisfaction paperwork? I live in New York.

Default Re: Mortgage

Who was the executor? That person should have dealt with it...

You may need to have a title expert assist at this point. A title company can help for a modest charge.
