If my name is on the deed alone and I bought the house prior to marriage and put 100K down is this house considered mine alone? My soon to be ex is on the mortgage b/c we re-financed but the deed is in my name alone.

I understand that some of the slae $ will go to him but it is "my" home and "mine" only since I bought it prior to marriage?

Thanks!

Normally it will be your property yes but he may get part of the appreciation that occurred while you were married. Have a lawyer review with you in detail.
