I am one of the directors of a very small non-profit corporation, originally registered in Washington state.
We have recently moved to Alaska. Is there any way to set up legally as an Alaska corporation without having to re-file for 501(c)3 status? Thank you, Erin |

You normally can simply register as a foreign corporation in Alaska with your new office in Alaska.

If I do that, will I still have to maintain a presence in WA state? Right now, I have official mail from the state and city there forwarded to me from a friend who agreed to let me use her address. We no longer do any business there, and I don't see any good way to maintain a permanent presence in WA.
