Lightbulb Demoting the President

Hiya,
Our president at the moment is using his power and title into bullying our members - English is our second language and our president is using the under privilaged against what is right and wrong.... Our issue at the moment is the president is refusing to use the community building for fundraising and special events and or meetings. He picks and chooses who can use the building. the building belongs to our Community and has no single name on the title. therefore the community legally are able to use this premises to fund raise in order to pay the mortgage. Our president has changed locks and chained the gates to prevent the community from using the premises. He has rejected many requests for meetings and have withheld the keys to everyone. therefore hes the only one that has the key and no one else does... we believe this is also a safety issue - what happens when he's away and there is an emergency? so my question is how do I go about stripping his title? We are a non profitable organisation and have limited funds as he has withheld dollar figures... he has also not turned up for mediation on several occassions.

hiya
It's a non-profitable ethnic organisation... an association - the president is running the community to the ground just like he's back home. I'm in New Zealand. the name is Waikato Khmer Association. The president has illegally signed up for a 9 year presidency using signatures of his 12 committee members who do not know how to read or understand english.. election of president, sec, treasurer and committee member should be done at an AGM and an AGM has never been filed for 5years.. I could easily "nark" and have the association "struck off" but the property value is over 1million dollars now and the Khmer community need it to call a place of their own.. it's not fair for the place to shut down because of one man

In the US...

NPO must have a constitution, The RULES, to get a charter. Must have a charter to get a corporation. must have a corp. to get NPO.

The constitution must call for a board of executive directors, they are responsible to the IRS (US). A violation of the constitution can trigger an audit. An audit can cause the dissolution ( how to dissolve must be in the constitution ). Basically tear it down and rebuild it.

People do end up in prison.
