EEK! Can I be "sued...?"

I am the deputy director of an society that is just sterting out. We haven't yet filed our State Incorporation, nor our Federal tax-exempt forms. We had a member that was our Historian, and she "dissolved" herself from us. Our Articles of Incorporation and By-laws state that no member or officer will recieve compensation in any way, shape or form. It is all voluntary. She was video-taped giving a short speech, and after her "dissolution" wanted all forms of her DVD back. All of the originals and copies have been returned, others have been destroyed, or completly deleted from computer files. She is threating to sue us because we did not produce any other copies, or originals. Is this possible? What is our recourse?

She cannot really sue you for that.

If you don't have them you don't have them.

And if she was working for the company when she did this, even as a volunteer, there is a good argument that it is yours to keep anyway.
