There are a row of 10 foot high bushes that run right on the property line (we think). After asking the man next store if I can remove them, he agreed. Then several days later, during removal, his wife ran out and stopped us halfway. I had a verbal agreement, and was even using one of THEIR tools to cut them down. Neither side knows exactly where the property line runs. If they survey it, find its in their property, am I in any danger with only a verbal agreement?

I wish to inform you that removing of bushes can not cause you any problem because you have agreed with your neighbor. In this regard your neighbor was having the information and therefore even if you were removing the removing was as per contract and full knowledge. If the grass was on your property line then it cannot be a problem because then its your property. If property line covering bushes is in your neighbor property then also you may not be harmed because your neighbor knew about cutting of bushes as he had entered oral agreement and by not restraining you your neighbor had consented to cutting of bushes. Objection by wife may not affect you because act performed before objection was allowed.
