A piece of property by my parents' home, which was a little league baseball field, has recently been purchased by another neighbor. This neighbor will be putting a MAUSOLEUM with the remains of her three deceased children on this property. It seems the plans for this structure include putting it right on the shared property line. Does anyone know if my parents may be protected by any law stating that such a structure should be a certain distance from their home (and backyard pool, where family and friends spend a lot of time)? If the mausoleum is put on the property line, it will be approximately 100 feet from their home. Thanks for any advice!

Normally city and county codes will prevent that. Call your city officials. Let us know what they say.
