Angry Re: Laws on bait traps for cats

I actually feel for the one having to trap. We have neighbors here the same way their cats are never causing the problem. They feel its mean to keep their cats inside. However, if you look in our kids sand box it has become their personal litter boxes. (costing us money every time we want the kids to be able to use one since gosh knows woman cannot change litter boxes while pregnant obviously its not good for kids to play in either) Our garage that has become destroyed by lose cats that can slide in a low barn style door and tear up our garbage cans on a daily bases, spray on things, sharpening their claws on other things......etc....etc. So my thought is how is this mean to the cats and causing the undo stress to your cat? Be a owner and take responsibility. I am sure if you were the one having your property tore up you won't have even asked the question.

The Cat next door is ruining my life. It kiilled all the frogs in my pond, the baby birds that fleged from my bird box, bunnies, and my japense painted fern. I went to its owner and he lauged...laughed...the cat is dead meat.

Obviously you are an ignorant fool! Cats are free to roam where ever they wish, because unlike aggressive dogs chasing and viciously attacking adults and small children, cats only attack, if you could even call it that, to defend themselves if provoke! Come on now, how many times in the 6:00 news have you heard of a domesticated cat killing somebody? NEVER!!! Can the same be said for dogs? I don't think so. And don't there say that cats are dirty, for heavens sake they are one of the most if not the most cleanest creatures put on this filthy earth, endlessly cleaning and grooming themselves. And as for cats being a nuisance in people's yards, honey I think you have it the other way around, dogs are dirty and will leave their mess all over for you to step on and especially all of you LAZY dogowners whom don't bother to pickup the king-size turds your filthy dog left behind, if you don't want it in your yard what makes you think I want it in mine! At least cats have the decency to cover over after they go. Also, dogs are annoying because they bark all day and night, even at things that are not even there, and it's disruptive and inconsiderate to people who have to get up early in the morning to go to work unlike some others. The list could go on and on, but I am tired now of typing, maybe because of too many listless nights of hearing dogs barking nonstop. So goodbye and also for the record I have own dogs in the past but much prefer cats. So yes, I am a cat lover. Does it show just a little?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To those of you whom are trapping cats and or abusing and killing them, you will burn in hell for all of eternity!!! These are God's creatures. And we wonder why the world is the way it is.

I have had cats decimate my vegetable garden, use the sand my cacti are planted in for their toilets, and lay on my patio furniture causing me to be unable to use it bc I am allergic to them. I have a 7 ft fence and my dogs have never been loose except in that yard.

They have torn up my window screens and kept me awake all night with their fighting. People get a cat then leave it to run the streets and reproduce with no restrictions.

I have tried everything to keep them off my property to no avail.

Hey Lady! They're giving you free fertilizer for your veggie garden. BE GRATEFUL!

It is not considered cruelty to use a live trap for the purposes of taking the cat to the Humane Society.

Cats running loose throughout the neighborhood is a menace to the neighbors, and a danger to the cat. To the OP, if you do not want your cat to be trapped by this neighbor, keep it indoors or construct a fence around your property. Domestic cats are not like wild cats. They cannot fend for themselves and neglectful owners put their pets at risk when allowing them to roam. There are cruel people who will set out poisoned food/drink, there are people who will use them as target practice using various weapons, there are people who will deliberately run them over, the list goes on.

On the side of cats being a nuisance. Cats will use neighbor's garden beds, lawns, compost piles as their person toilet, cats will climb all over cars, causing scratches, cats will stalk and hunt birds (some people enjoy putting out bird feeders and attracting those birds), cats will fight with other cats in the neighborhood, exposing them to injury and/or disease.

What the neighbor is doing is a combination of being fed up, and concerned for a pet the owner clearly is not properly caring for. No domestic cat is 'entitled' to roam free, as if in the wild. It is the sole responsibility of any pet owner to property care for their pets. That includes confining the pet to its own property limit.
MORON, how can you keep a cat in a fenced yard? HELLOOOOOO! They're cats they can jump over fences, or haven't you heard? Pleaseeeeee, the idiots we have running around this country never fail to amuse me. And yea, you otta save that anti-freeze for yourself instead. For you to drink that is. Believe me no one will miss you!

Call your city to find out trapping laws, but also consider the damage your cat does to other property. I keep my 3 cats in my own yard, and expect others to do the same. If they don't I will remove the problem.
Why don't you drink the antifreeze yourself? And you say you can't stand the smell of cat pee, but I bet you like the smell of something else.
