Confused Is there a Law in Texas regarding tree roots?

I am problem here in Texas. My neighbor has not only cut back my trees, but killed them all along my fence line and in the process had a company cut a hole in my fence to grind out one of the stumps. She claims the UNDERGROUND roots are causing foundation problems. She can't produce evidence of this, but has now sued me.
Does anyone know the law for roots underground and any damage they might cause? I have court coming up. I know it is up to her and her attorney to present the law in their claim against me, but i just want to be prepaird since I am representing myself.
Thank you!

She can trim back to the property line only and she has to take reasonable steps to preserve the life of the tree. Or you can sue for damages.

Go to:

Search Legal Question and Answer from Attorneys at Law - LawGuru.com Knowledge Base

Select "Texas" and "All" under Categories of Law. Then search for "tree roots" and search for "any" keywords.

That will bring up the most responses to similar property damage questions in Texas.
