Unhappy Distressed

I live in a culdesac, with four houses on it.
Recently we got a new neighbor that moved in next to me. When they moved in we greeted them and tried to make them feel welcom. soon after moving in they began encroaching on on our space, both mine and my neighbors on the other side of the new residents.
We decided to say nothing until we started not receiving our mail deliveries. most important were some medications and important documents from the department of Veterans affairs.
I decided to speak to the new neighbor about the inconvieneince. The neighbor was apologetic and spoke to whom ever it was that was blocking the mail box.
Over the next year the problem of the blocked mail box increased with me asking them to please not block the mail delivery.
Recently It happened again and I approached the home and cordially asked if they could please move the vehicle. They did so. Thirty minuets later the mail box was blocked again.
I again asked if they could move said vehicle, this time however a different lady that did not live there approached me and told me that was public property and she would park where ever she pleased. I related to her the problem of not getting my mail and could she please move the car.
She moved the car, however the next day I was approached by a "gentleman" questionable
designation. He informed me if I talked to his wife again in that manner he would kick my !!!!???. Do I have the right to request they not park blocking my mail box.

Default Re: Distressed

Yes -- you have a right to request that they not block your mailbox. However, the comments by the man are of even greater cause for concern. You may need to contact the police and/or a lawyer to obtain a restraining order and address the matter of the parking dispute. If you go to the WLD main page, I do believe they would have lawyers available who could help out. Take care. AJJ
