I have apx 60 acres leased that abuts the 40 acres we own. We run cattle on all of it. We have had it leased since 1960.
In our area the gas well business is rampant. The landowner has given permission for Chesapeake to drill some gas wells on the land, along with the ensuing roads to the drill site. No problems so far. But, Chesapeake has agreed to construct wood privacy fences along the north border for the inhabitants of an abutting residential subdivision. I want to make sure that they don't take down my 5 strand barb wire cattle fence to construct these wood fences. I have no problem with them being constructed on the residential side of the fence, just don't damage our fence. Where can I find fence laws that would cover this issue? Thanks, Rick N |

They cannot interfere with your lease rights and objects on the land without permission or compensation.
I am sure world law lawyers could give you citations if need be...you could email them on the home page. |
