We live in PA. There is a driveway that runs thru our property to another property that has 2 rental units on it. That property has road frontage of about 100 ft. Is there any legal way to have the owners of that property put a driveway of their own in from their road front and get rid of the right of way thru our property? ALSO....If we choose to put stone down on the current right of way driveway within our property because we also use it, can they or their tenants remove it? Last question...Who is responsible for the maintenance, i.e. snow removal etc.?
Thanx |

Is there an easement on the property in the deed?
If not and they do have other access you probably could cut the access if they have used it for less than twenty years or so. |

The home was built in 1978.
The deed reads.....IT IS ALSO understood and agreed by the parties hereto that the grantor reserves unto himself, his heirs and assigns forever, the right of ingress, egress and regress, and the maintenance thereof, over the land being conveyed on the driveway where it is presently located. Is this considered an easement? Who does the maintenance? What can I legally do to change the use of this? Thanx Tom |

As I read the front page of the deed, the grantor is listed as the person we bought the home from.
