We installed a chain link fence 6" on our side of the property line. Our neighbor planted several Leyland Cypress trees that grow up to 15 feet in diameter within 2' of our fence. We told the woman while she was planting them that they were too close and that I will trim them when they grow into our fence. She said "you better not cut my #$@^%$ trees" and went on planting.
What can or should be done? |

You are allowed to trim back to your property line.
That is the law. But you have to try if you can not to seriously damage the plant . |
