Security Light

My cul de sac is totally dark at night and I have vandals and people coming into the turn around circle throwing trash out and other things associated with the dark.
I installed a mercury vapor light that casts just enough light to see the circle and the houses around the circle. The light is very dim.
The with the light on I can barely see any house but it is a deterrent and card that come to the end of the street and park or turn around can be seen as well as anyone walking on the street.
I've had vandals and since I installed the light the traffic is gone and it is much more secure .
Two neighbors have threatened action if I don't turn it out and I have no reason why this dim light would be anything more than security.
I told them the light stays.We have no code or street association that has any jurisdiction as far as I know. The bright part of the light is in my yard and then fades to nothing but it does the job.
What can these other people do to me if I leve it on?

They can ask the city to or police to intervene if they think it is a nuisance but based on what you say here it would seem that you would prevail.
