Smile Changing a HOA restrictions

Hi, I am the president of a homeowners association (140 lots) located in a seaside resort town. We would like to change our restrictions so homeowners would be permitted to have one boat/boat trailer on their lot. The majority of homeowners want this change - but to make the change it needs to go to a vote. Where can I find descriptive language so I can present it for a vote at our next annual homeowners association meeting? We want it to be very detailed (detailing the location of the boat on the lot, condition of the boat and trailer and maybe a time frame). The language would have to be what would go into the restrictions. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Mags

You might try just writing out exactly what you want--then perhaps giving it to a lawyer or person on the board.

Or you could ask other associations or nearby villages etc if they have drawn up similar terms. Not sure you will find one exact form for that.
