birth certificate question

My wife, who is from the Philippines, became a citizen in 2005. When she came here, in lieu of a birth certificate, we used a certificate of living birth. This was because they couldn't find her birth certificate. Recently we were able to get a copy of her birth certificate from the Philippines. Her name, on the birth certificate, is different than the name on the certificate of living birth. All her life she believed her first name was Maria and now we find it isn't. How will this affect her citizenship? She is also petioning for her brother how will this affect that?
