I have lived in California for the last three years. Recently I came back to New York to stay with family. I am planning to go back to get my master's degree next year in California. I need California residency for tuition purposes. How long can I stay in NY without losing my residency in California? Can I work in NY while I am here? Some of the specifics are:
I am not renting an apartment in either state I have a California driver's license I have healthcare in California I have maintained a bank account in California I have not opened a bank account in NY I have maintained a PO Box in California I am registered to vote in NY(registered when I was 18, I'm 26 now, just never re-registered) Thank you for your time and help |
