I applied for naturalization three years ago. I recently receive a letter from USCIS informing me to attend naturalization oath ceremonoy in August. However, I changed my mind in these years and I want to keep my permanent residency status for now. I want to know whether there are any impacts on me if I do not attend the naturaliztion oath ceremony. What kind of procedures do I need to go through? Can I reapply naturalization in the future if I want to be a citizen then? Thank you for your responses.

You can yes but the fact you did not follow through will of course be on the record.
You may want to also discuss with immigration counsel at least briefly. |
