Legal Mortgage Check Payment Posting
Is it legal for a mortgage company who willing accept and cash payments designated on a paper check "payment towards P&I only" to apply them to any late charges or escrow fees, and NOT pay anything towards the P&I?

You can try to dispute it but if you are late they can apply to late charges.
It has to be 100% clear that you have made a conditional agreement. |
