Is there a way to find out if my new husband was ever involved in fraud

How do I find out if my new husband has any past fraud or is or was a con artist?

I have been married for about 3 months to a man I have known for about 9 months, since the marriage I have found out he is in severe debt and has two children he hadn't told me about prior to the marriage. He did tell me while we were dating that he was also previously married in Australia and said he had a divorce but told the registry he has never been married before, he then told me the divorce was done online and I have never seen divorce papers. I have also only about 1 week ago found out he has not paid taxes for his current business, which he wants me to put soley in my name, and is currently soley in his name. He has moved around alot and moved his business alot, I am getting very worried about what I have gotten myself into, and wondering who this man is and what else he is hidding from me. I feel as if I can never trust this man now and he is not the person I thought I was in love with when I married him. What resorces are there for me to obtain information about him and what are my rights?
