I was not part of this little anonymous rant but I would gladly put my name out in support of Youth Juice. The product, company and distribution model are by far the best thing on the market today.

For those of you who are Shawn Noonan bashers fine, but leave Youth Juice alone. It is a great product that fills the gaps in our diet, and is fully transparent. Shawn Noonan is now with US Aloe so let the bashing begin with that company!

Some history behind the founder of Youth Juice, Bob Edwards: You may recognize the name from the early 90’s as the man who ripped of America to the tune of over 33 million dollars with the Fund America organization. This is the same company that was shut down by the Attorney General and the Florida Department of Finance; as a result of his fraudulent activities, Mr Edwards if bared from ever doing business in USA.
Now having run away to Canada, Bob and his right hand partner in crime (Shawn Noonan) have started the Vancouver based company called “Our World Network” , a company with a series of MLM (multi level marketing) schemes affiliated with it. More media attention was brought to the Owner of Youth Juice with the Slpeepees scandal in 2007. Sleepees that was advertised as an all natural, no chemicals added, sleeping supplement, claimed a life and put several people in the hospital. It turns out that they were using a highly addictive and dangerous narcotic called Estazolam (which is in fact banned). After being sued (again) and penalized for misrepresentation Sleepees were pulled from the selves. The company claims it was an accident, however common sense and the investigation conducted by Health Canada concluded that it was extremely unlikely that a narcotic used in the past for prescription sleeping aids (and later banned for its addictive and heart stopping properties) would find its way mysteriously into the manufacturing process. It seems that the OWN lists of products have all had problems keeping their facts straight. Most notably is the repeated miss use and gross misrepresentation of several well known experts in the health industry, such as Dr. Meg Jordan. Her face was used all over Sleepees and later Youth Juice. In a lawsuit against OWN Dr, Jordan claimed to have had no prior involvement with the company beyond the possibility to review their products. When she declined OWN took it upon themselves to put her image and fabricated endorsements on the advertisements of their products. Youth Juice and its founder is simply a scam. Why would you pay 100 dollars for juice that cannot deliver what it promises or support someone that has been chased out of every business he has ever run, and been responsible for the pain and suffering of so many? |

I have no concerns at all with the product Youth Juice or the company behind it. Yes, I've done my homework.
I've been drinking YJ for 17 months now. I initially felt it was a bit expensive but then I found I was spending less money on fruits & veggies, I throw out less spoiled fruits and veggies out (because I bought less) and I also tossed my multi vitamin pills... By the way, have you ever looked at the price of Blueberries & Raspberries in the winter - if you can find them? Not cheap! YJ works out to $1.50/oz - cheaper than my $4.90 grande vanilla latte that I have almost every day which I'm pretty sure does absolutely nothing for me except taste good. Anyway - lots's of BS on the net about almost every product & service out there - ever heard of Telus? Some people hate them... swear they'll never use them again. I've been with Telus Mobility 10+ years and I've never had a bad experience that Telus didn't correct. I think people just don't understand Direct Sales (aka: Network Marketing, MLM). It's a $36 billion dollar industry in North America alone... Highly regulated. Enjoy your YJ... or don't. It's your choice. cheers Vince |

Amazing. I wonder of the positive replies on this thread originate from OWN/YJ staff, and the other half from distributors looking to make a buck. Look up the concept of 'astroturfing' (try wikipedia) to understand what the concept is here. MLM and such things thrive on it - the flood of misinformation, so that any pertinent and actual analysis or information is drowned.
Use your head, people. Especially when spending your money. Especially on anything relating to your health. That means now. There are many attacks on the unregistered & anonymous posters on this thread. You know what's interesting? No contact information exists on their website. Checkthescience.com has a completely private domain registration. No information about the actual organization is viewable. They have opted to use a particular function of domain name registration called WHOIS privacy. Look it up. If you want to look at their domain name, use a WHOIS tool like network-tools.com (select WHOIS and enter checkthescience.com or any other domain name you want to check) and see for yourself. If this is about science and analysis, then why the utter secrecy? What if I'd like to ask Dr Ranatunga a couple of questions, or try to validate the authenticity of both the doctorate and the work done? Looking at the actual website, the content is done in Adobe Flash. This means you can't download it as a PDF, and yet a massive percentage of medical documentation is done on paper, scanned, and added as a downloadable & viewable PDF document. It means you can't copy & paste any of the text within. It means all of the content is server-side, and it can be changed only by the authors, making it extremely difficult to notice if the information is adjusted at all and prevents webcrawlers and webcachers to store copies of the files. The *only* references to this "J. Ranatunga Phd" on the web are on checkthescience.com and on youth juice pages. That's it. That webpage has analyzed two things: youth juice, and fucoidans, which are conveniently a supposed component of youth juice. There's a lot of science in this world, and we have a supposed doctor, unreachable by any means, choosing to review a particular product and a component thereof. What a broad scope of knowledge and science to share with us! Living in the world IT makes me extremely wary by nature, mostly because the internet is full of scams and false information. Looking at the amount of convenient coincidences and questionable logic, I can't see why anyone would give the benefit of the doubt to a 'company' like this. Like I said: use your head. Oh, and for everyone saying its changed their life, look up something called the 'placebo effect'. |

$1.50/oz. now that's funny. BTW, the $4.90 grande latte, as over-priced as it is, works out to "only" about 31 cents/oz. |
