Taste This TV - Produce a Pilot for TV scam

Got involved with Taste This TV through a Craig's list posting. They are looking to produce pilots for cooking related shows. They take ideas and find potential "investors". After many unclear phone calls, they demanded I pay over 8000 dollars as producer. If I don't pay they send me to a collection agency for 4000 dollars they say they've spent already in 3 days. Sure feels like a scam. Yahoo answers has a few posts from other prospective producers who think it is a scam. Basically they find people who don't know about TV or legal contracts, convince them that they have great ideas, then they take money.

I am an attorney who works in the entertainment industry. I know those guys and they are not scams. Just look at the numerous national shows that they have on the air. Apparently you didnt even work with them and your sending misleading statements to the community.....

I am loosing my mind over this company and I think I have decided that it is like a modeling scam, they tell you, you can become a model but first you need to get some pictures done for $500.00 well with taste this productions inc or taste this tv or ttp productions or w/e the hell they wanna call them selves, it is just an easy way for them to make some money hand you a crappy product and say we gave you only what we promised. My cousin currently works for this company and has for years. I know everything there is to know about it and on top of that, I attended many shoots and I saw the ins and outs of it from start to beginning. This is NOT A SCAM!!!! I assure you. I hear of all the stories of pilot ideas and the trials of bringing them to the distribution company and it's all real!! She works really hard 7 days a week to make people's ideas and dreams become a reality and keep in mind that the people do get on air. The only people who write these scam comments on these posts are 1. not serious and don't believe in investing in their own idea. Just want everything for free and 2. Most of these people who write on these blogs were not even accepted to move forward and are taking revenge on that. This is what happens in the entertainment field.
