straw loans - auto dealership

a dealership did a straw loan for my sister and i about a year ago. they lied about what was really going on and i am just figuring out all of this now as i have been trying to get the car switched over to me. come to find out, they can't just switch anything over to me as they claimed, i have to get financed and the whole deal which i can't because the loan amout was too far over the vehicle's value.

they claimed that it was no big deal when the contract was signed and pushed for my sister not to tell the bank that the car was for me when they contacted her. from the day the contract was signed, i have made note ALL payments, provided insurance, matenence and registration for the car and hev documentation of all of this.

my contract has a blank section (missing a signature). does this mean that the deal is void anyway? i am consulting with a lawyer hopefully this week to talk about damages, etc.

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office.
