Can I legally sell this on the used market if it was legitimately made by a coatmaker in the 1940's? It is probably more like a museum piece. Are there fines?

You should check with federal authorities before proceeding.

If you can prove the date it may be okay but you will want to have that confirmed before you sell.

The US Attorney's office in your area could help direct you.
