Name Change inquiry
If I have a court hearing to change my name,published in the paper 4 weeks prior to my case,was issued a court hearing,The thing is I did not show up for the hearing..does that mean that the judge can still petition my name change and then it's legally changed.Or would the case just be dismissed cause I failed to appear and I keep my former maiden name.Nothing in the mail from the court..leaves me scratching my head.Any answers.
