How long do I have to keep her stuff
When a friend moved in with me from another state, she put all of her belongings in my rented storage unit and agreed to pay half the cost of the unit. Her stuff has been in the unit for over 4 months now and she has yet to pay for her half of the cost and recently moved back to her home state leaving her belongings here - for which I am still paying to keep. What do I need to do before I can legally get rid of her stuff?

You normally need to try to give 30 days notice in writing that you intend to dispose of the items; and then also inform the local police what you are doing as well. After that you should be okay.
