Default Contacting Judges

Hello,

If a judge completely misapplies the law a in hearing or violates a defendant's due process rights by refusing to allow him or her to provide any testimony or offer any evidence at a hearing, is it within an individual's First Amendment right to Freedom of Speech to write a letter to the judge notifying him/her of the error in order to, hopefully, prevent the judge from making the mistake again?

Thank you.

He normally will not read that. You need to point out the error in court or appeal and have him overruled.

I had the same experience as yours recently, so I sent a letter to the Chief Judge who responded, suspended an order and scheduled another hearing. Unfortunately after two months, a new judge presided over the hearing, violated the Law again, abused her discretion and did not allow me to present my case, my exhibits and witnesses, in brief she violated my legal right to argue my case as a pro se. In the process, she violated the Codes Section of the State, and the Rules of Evidence etc. So I wrote the chief Judge again with a copy to the judge who abused her discretion and I am waiting for a reply.

I am determined to file a complaint against this judge for abuse of discretion and violation of the Canons of the Judicial conduct.

My case is very complicated but I am insisting on having my case be heard
by a neutral and ethical judge.

Any one who wants to join me in stopping judges's abuse in the court room feel free to writ me by answering this message.

I was recently charged with a misdemeanor and the judge rejected the prosector's plea deal because he felt that I was guilty. He came to that conclusion when he read the investigation report. After 3 hearings I was sentenced to 4 days in jail and was not given an opportunity to provide any defense because it was a plea bargain.
I WAS TOTALLY INNOCENT AND HAVE NO CRIMINAL HISTORY
I asked my attorney to question the judges actions but he said that it was not a good idea because the judge could give me more time.
