I am a UK ebay seller, about 14 months ago one of our customers in Hungary (he bought a couple of items from us) started using our address to buy more items from other sellers and got them sent to us (I agreed to posting on a couple of items as it was cheaper for him) we had lots of items sent to us (not sure of value around £200), eventually ebay stopped his account as he was using our address, he agreed to pay for shipping, then we heard nothing for over a year, a couple of weeks ago I sold a couple of the items as we had not heard from him and assumed he didnt want them anymore. As we sold some of the items (around £150) he is now demanding that we post the rest to him at our expense (probably £100 costs) and also send him money to cover the difference between what the shipping costs was and what we had sold, he is asking for around £50 and he said in 3 days or he will inform the police. Basically the goods were sent to me (mostly without my consent), we have had no contact for over a year now he is demanding we fork out over £150, should I just post all his items and pay him, I know it was wrong to sell a couple of his items but I cannot afford to cover what he wants. Hope you can advise what I should do.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am now living in UK and also am not a solicitor. I always heard that some people/companies sent goods to the different addresses. If I received goods without asking for these goods then I could keep these goods. Providing the sender did not ask about these goods for a limit time only. The CAB is excellent in their advice. Good luck. Regards Phd40 |
