Default Disorderly Conduct: Was I wrong in lashing out with these words at them?

Since the people at the corner of my property have moved in, their dogs have been very aggressive to me, my wife, and my dogs. We have called the police to make a report, but I don't know if it got filled. This has been an on going problem for us. Every time I go out into my yard or my wife or our dogs their dog attacks the fence trying to get thru. I fear for my wife and our dogs for I am not home during the week. I was out in my backyard last weekend, bbq'ing when again their dog charged the fence. When I went over to the fence,I got into it with my neighbor and his son(7yrs old), I got so upset that I started swearing at the and told them that if their dog got into my yard that I would kill it I was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. My question is Because I had had enough of them not doing anything about their dog Was I wrong in lashing out with these words at them. Thanks to anyone who can help

Well I probably would have done the same thing, you always want to be careful what you say of course....I'd suggest calling animal control next time there is an occurance like that. If these dogs are capable of injuring or killing you or anyone, Animal control will take action by all means nessesary. I am still trying to figure out why you were arrested, unless you saying you were going to kill their dog was documented there was absolutely no reason for your arrest (Freedom of Speech), the maximum penalty for that would just be a citation.
