Confused restoring name

15 yrs ago I used my sister's name (she's dead) and her DOB to get away from an abusing man. I got a DL in her name, with her DOB and my real SS number.
Now I want to restore my real name once again. In my state I once had a state issued ID with my real name, but when it expired, I used my sister's name to get my DL.
I can't get a job now cause my SS number and my sister's name and DOB doesn't match.
How can I correct this and get a ID with my real name ?

Well that was not the best and maybe you should hire counsel to resolve that fraud.

But can you not get your birth certificate and get a proper ID.

I do have my real Birth records and SS number. The only problem is in Texas, your finger printed when you apply for your DL.
My finger prints shows me as my sister, not me....
If I try to go apply for a ID card under my real name, even with proper papers to show who I am, the finger prints will turn up under my sister's name.
Geesh what a mess. And all this was done to keep this man from finding me, which really worked good, cause he didn't find me, and after years, gave up and moved on with someone else. But now I am stuck with undoing the name thing.

Sometimes it is best to ask a judge to review it all and to come clean. But consult and/or do so with legal counsel firstly.
