I was a month behind on my car payment to the finance company and they had a tow truck driver repossess my car, my car was on private property with a sign posted no tresspassing, but they opened the gates and drug my car into the street. In the process of doing this the driver backed into one of the gates breaking it away from the chain link fence. The finance company told me they weren't responsible, and the tow truck company won't answer my calls. Did they have a right to take my car, and who is responsible for damaged gate? Also, I am not the owner of the property where this happened at.
Thank You |

Based on what you say here, you could file suit against both of them (or at least threaten to do so) in small claims court or in regular court; filing in small claims court is easier and requires no attorney...you could try to collect all of the costs and damages that you suffered due to their behavior... You may also report them to your state attorney general's office.
