Default partner selling the farm, I've lived here and done the work for the last 3 1/2 months

We have been together off and on for about 12 years. He decided to buy a farm, that he told everyone was for me. He is in ill health and I thought he was just trying to set me up in my life. Now it appears that he is going to sell the place, probably doubling his money, I need to know if there is anything that I can do to protect myself and get a share of the profit that he makes. I have been out here alone doing all the work. Improvements both inside and outside. Sometimes putting in 16 hour days. He is a very jealous and controlling man, he is now accusing me of sleeping around with people, staying at their place and having a guy living here on the farm with me. I think he need psychiatric help.
Is there a way to get him evaluated?
Sure hope someone can help me with this situation. I have little income and looks like no place to live. I raise small papillons dogs, that allows me a bit of money for my own personal use.

If two or more owners cannot agree on what to do with a piece of property they may petition the court and the court will order a sale or refinancing etc. so that the one or more may get out of the property obligation and/or the other(s) may keep it etc.--it is often done-- (This is true in some cases even for equitable owners that have paid various amounts etc., but for various reasons, may not be on title.)

Thanks for your reply. I don't have much invested at all. It is all the work I have done out here, alone. He has been in a different province for the most part. The place was promised to me, that is why I have been working so hard to get it operating again. Now that it is almost going he decides to change his mind and sell. That just doesn't seem right to me.
